Dr. Rafael Moguel Ancheita earned his Medical Degree from the Universidad Veracruzana in 1983, going on to specialize in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Hospital 1° de Octubre in Mexico City. His international training arc took him to Hospital Clínic i Provincial in Barcelona, Spain (Interventional Cardiology, 1993), Heart Technology in Miami (Rotablator System), and advanced endovascular programs in Monaco, Tampa, and Atlanta.
From 1998 to 2005, he served as Head of Interventional Cardiology at Hospital 1° de Octubre — one of Mexico's leading cardiac centers — while simultaneously building the cardiology and hemodynamics program at Centro Médico de Cozumel. He is recognized internationally as a leader in catheterization by radial artery approach, and serves as Director of The Clinics of the Heart.
